2026 Fall Vaccination Recommendations

Lane County Public Health, in alignment with the Oregon Health Authority, endorses the Western Coast Health Alliance (WCHA) 2026 Immunization recommendations for flu, COVID-19 and RSV vaccines. Summary of 2026 recommendations: 

• Flu: recommended for all people over the age of 6 months.
• COVID-19: recommended for ages 6-23 months & 65 years and older; anyone with a risk factor or in close contact with anyone with risk factors; all health care workers; and all who choose to reduce risk of severe illness.
• RSV: recommended for ages up to 8 months & 75 years and older; ages 8-19 months and 50-74 years with risk factors.

Immunization is the best protection available against respiratory viruses such as COVID-19, influenza (flu), and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). Seasonal immunization may reduce serious illness, community transmission, and health care systems strain.
