Public Health Reserve Corps

Mission Statement

The mission of the Lane County Public Health Reserve Corps (LCPHRC) is to protect the health and safety of Lane County residents by training LCPHRC medical and non-medical volunteers so they can be deployed during emergencies and disasters (primarily in support Emergency Service Function 8) as well as promoting community preparedness and resiliency.

Equity Vision

We will use the Lane County Equity Lens across all LCPHRC activities so that our community engagements and emergency responses prioritize the well-being and safety of community members facing disproportionate health disparities and barriers. We will recruit volunteers with racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds that are historically under-represented in volunteer corps and promote opportunities for volunteer leadership. We will center anti-racism through continuous learning and practice as the foundation to our efforts to protect the health and safety of Lane County.
