First Case of Monkeypox Reported in Lane County

Lane County Public Health is reporting the first presumed case of monkeypox virus infection in a person who lives in Lane County, identified by testing at the Oregon State Public Health Laboratory. The test sample has been sent to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for final confirmation. The patient is an adult and did not have a travel history to an area with known cases.
