Community Plastics Program Ends

Since 2018, Lane County Waste Management has offered plastic collection for #2, #4, #5 plastics to "registered" community collectors. These collectors and their many volunteers have helped divert more than 111,000 pounds of plastics (that would have otherwise been tossed in the garbage) from the the landfill.
Now, as the new Oregon Recycling Modernization Act takes effect on July 1, the Community Plastics Collection program has ended.
