In response to the Northeast Neighbor’s request for sidewalks on North Gilham Road, Lane County secured federal grant funding to construct sidewalks on both sides of the road, between Ayres Road and Ashbury Drive; and to construct a new sidewalk on the west side of the road, between Ashbury Drive and Don Juan Avenue. 

Following technical analysis and a public involvement process, the Board approved design concepts for the project in 2020.

Construction of the project began on April 14 and will conclude September 1. 

Construction activities will impact travel between Meadowood Drive and Crimson Avenue. Watch for traffic control signs and workers in the right-of-way. Detour signage will identify alternate routes throughout construction.
