Services begin at the new location on Thursday, August 21. Starting on that day most Deeds & Records services will be located in its former location at 125 E. 8^th Avenue in Eugene.

Both locations will be closed on Wednesday, August 20, for the move.

The services that will move back to the ground floor of the Public Service Building (125 E. 8^th Avenue, Eugene) are:

• Real Property Recording (including deeds, titles or interest to real property located in Lane County)
• Marriage Licenses and Ceremonies
• Domestic Partnership Declarations
• Property Value Appeals Board

No. All Deeds & Records services are moving back to the Public Service Building. The Elections Office will remain at the W. 10^th Avenue location.

In late 2023, we combined two functions of the County Clerk’s Office (Deeds & Records and Elections) with the goal of improving staffing efficiency and providing better support for the Elections Office. While this change did lead to improved staffing efficiency, it did not meet the expectations of our Deeds & Records customers, who found the new location less convenient. Additionally, the Elections Office space was too limited to accommodate the public research library, which had to remain at the Public Service Building, and we were unable to keep the library open enough hours each week to satisfy the public demand. 

We will continue to reassign Deeds & Records employees to the Elections Office during peak election season so we don’t lose that important support for conducting elections in Lane County.

There is a parking lot with paid parking spots located on Pearl Street between 7^th and 8^th avenues. Some of the parking in that lot is permit only, so pay attention to the signs as you enter. There is also metered on-street parking available on the surrounding city streets.
