Recording Fees

IMPORTANT NOTICE – Fee Increase Effective July 1, 2026


Pursuant to House Bill 3175, the Public Land Corner Preservation Fee will increase from $10.00 to $25.00 per document.  This will raise the total recording cost for a one-page, one-title document from $87.00 to $102.00.

Documents submitted with insufficient fees will be returned without being recorded.

All other recording fees remain the same.




The fee for recording a document depends on the type of document, the number of pages, and whether the document meets all statutory recording requirements.

For payment, we accept checks and money orders by mail and in person, credit and debit cards in person or over the phone, and cash in person only. Checks and money orders should be made payable to Lane County Deeds and Records. All credit and debit card transactions are subject to a 3% fee assessed by the bank.
