Perkins Peninsula Park

Park Description

Perkins Peninsula Park is a 42-acre park on the south side of Fern Ridge Reservoir, known for its quieter, more peaceful setting compared to some of the area’s larger recreation sites. Visitors will find a boat launch, fishing pier, small swimming area, and a nature trail along the park’s western edge—great for a short walk or wildlife viewing. Other features include a baseball field with backstop, volleyball nets, and areas to walk dogs on leash.

The park is also popular for birding and is part of the Willamette Birding Trail, making it a favorite spot for bird enthusiasts. The reservoir offers easy paddle access to the Coyote Creek Trail, a calm route for exploring by paddleboard or kayak. On the east side, the park borders an Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW) area managed for hunting and wildlife viewing. A year-round park host lives on site to help visitors enjoy their experience.
