Parks Planning & Improvements

Lane County Parks currently has over 4,000 acres of rich natural, recreational and cultural assets. Parks recognizes the value in collaboration and strategic planning. Park staff, partner agencies and volunteer groups work together to sustain the parks diverse features and opportunities, for the public to enjoy long into the future.

Planning and Development ensures responsible stewardship of those lands and experiences through:

  • Capital projects
  • Habitat master planning
  • Facility design
  • Grant preparation
  • Long range planning
  • Park master planning
  • Regulatory compliance
Effective cooperation with partners is key in the management of our parks and open spaces since the creation of Lane County Parks Division. We work with stakeholder groups, park users and agency partners to manage the valuable aesthetic and natural resources for the enjoyment of the public.
